Flare uses isometric, pre-rendered art and tile sets to create action roleplaying games. This collections is for art used in Flare, or art compatible with this style.
OpenGameArt.org can automatically generate a single credits file for all of the art in this collection. Please note that, while we tried our best, this file is in no way guaranteed to be accurate, and properly attributing the work you distribute with your project remains your responsibility. You'll want to load up this file in a text editor, check to make sure everything looks good (and that any special attribution instructions are followed), and then delete the notice at the top of the file, as the notice is designed to make you look very silly if you don't check over the file and remove it.

Plenty of amazing stuff, love Broken Tower...
Are great.
Do I have to release my own source code if I use Flare art resources?
Anonymous:
The short answer is, it depends on the license attached to the individual piece of art. Some of the above are licensed as CC0, which gives you free reign to use it as you wish without restriction; others have the GPL license attached, which dictates that the work in which it is included must also be GPL (=open source). I'm still not sure what it means to have multiple licenses attached - the ones with GPL seem to mostly have CC-By-SA3 attached as well, which is typically usable for any project as long as the author is credited.
Bart K (this site's proprietor) just started a fascinating discussion of licensing in regards to code and art at Free Gamer - highly recommend it.
Anonymous,
You do not have to release your source code if you use Flare art. For games, art is generally on a separate license from the code.
Most Flare art is CC-BY-SA licensed. This kind of art can only be remixed with compatible art (other CC-BY-SA works mainly; CC-BY and CC0 are also permitted). I assume that mixing CC-BY-SA art and proprietary art into a single game/video/screenshot would be against the license.
If you want to mix Flare art with closed art, please contact me. I can offer a separate indie/commercial license on some of these works.
I noticed in the Flare source download there is some pretty nice rendered trees. will you be adding those as well?
Acorn, the credits for that Grassland Tile Set show where the trees are from (OGA and Blendswap).
i made this from cc0 3d-art from oga, i uploaded the blend-file and textures too.
next i want to make some isometric trees.
